About Us
We're your neighbors.
Oak Point People is a resident-led initiative. We're not a political organization or a special interest group — we're homeowners, parents, and longtime community members who want Oak Point to stay the place we chose to live.
Our Mission
Our mission
To ensure that Oak Point residents have a meaningful voice in decisions that affect the character, safety, and quality of life in our community — starting with the unchecked growth of commercial wedding venues in residential areas.
How We Operate
Our principles
Fact-based
We rely on public records, ordinance text, and documented community impact — not rumors or emotion.
Nonpartisan
This is not a political campaign. We work with officials of any party who are willing to listen to residents.
Neighbor-first
Every decision we make is guided by what is best for the people who live here — not developers or outside interests.
Our Story
How this started
Oak Point residents wanted their opinions heard — so this group was formed to amplify all residents' voices. This site exists to make it easier for neighbors to stay informed, connect with each other, and reach the officials who represent them.
